Singapore—Japan’s new LCC start-up ZipAir has identified Japan Airlines Engineering Co. (JALEC) as its MRO provider under a comprehensive consignment. Operating in a low cost long haul model, the carrier will be starting with two ex-JAL Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners, with the first aircraft currently undergoing C check at JALEC and due for delivery in December.
